Leikarringen

The purpose of Leikarringen is to learn and perform the folk songs, music, and dances of Norway. Come and Dance every Tuesday, September-June. It even counts towards both a Sons of Norway sports medal and a cultural skills medal!

Tuesdays, 6:30 PM: Barneleikarringen, Norwegian/Scandinavian dance class for the kids. Lots of fun and treats at the end, too!

Tuesdays, 7:30PM: Leikarringen, Norwegian dance class for those over 16. First Tuesday of every month is party night with refreshments and dancing.

Norna - Woman's Auxiliary of Leif Erikson Lodge No. 1

Norna has a potluck luncheon every second Tuesday of the month with a business meeting. The Norna Ladies work party meets the third Thursday of the month from 10:00am to 2:00pm. You can find them in the Norna Room creating beautiful needlework items, including hardanger, sewing, and other craft projects for the bazaar.

Norway Park - Leif Erikson Lodge 2-001's recreational area near Lake McMurray

Use of the beach facilities and camping area is open to members of the lodge and their accompanied guests. Regular events include picnics, potlucks and/or dances on the Saturday closest to St. Hans Fest, Fourth of July, Memorial Day and Labor Day weekends. Other events to watch for are in the Ripples from the Lake newsletter from Norway Park which include: Fish 'n Chips and Darts Festival, Fishermen's Breakfast and the local volunteer fire department annual salmon barbeque.
